Artificial Turf

The most significant feature of artificial turf is its low maintenance cost compared to natural turf. It allows for year-round play on grass and has a much longer lifespan than natural turf, which necessitates a growth period.

The World Football Federation (FIFA) certifies the product and field conditions to ensure that international matches can be held. The lifespan of the certified products is more than 10 years, making them semi-permanent.

The currently produced artificial turf material guarantees the best safety by introducing an eco-friendly method, and the technology has been developed to a level equivalent to that of natural turf.

As time passes, the capacity to absorb rainfall diminishes, leading to prolonged drainage times or a loss of drainage function. When a defect occurs, it causes inconvenience to users, such as a high maintenance cost burden and a long construction period.

In particular, when considering drainage methods for sports fields, the primary focus should be on efficient drainage, enabling immediate play after rain, and preventing ground subsidence. Therefore, an appropriate drainage system must be selected based on the intended use of the field.

If the construction is carried out without a suitable drainage system for the stadium, and the ground becomes saturated with water during rain, it will lead to water stagnation, preventing the game from proceeding. Factors must also be reviewed without omission.

The KDS drainage system does not retain water in the original ground; instead, it facilitates drainage to the treatment facility as swiftly as possible.
